Osteopathy

Osteopathy
Osteopathy involves the skilled use of hands to alleviate pain and address physical restrictions. Our focus lies in treating various areas such as the spine, neck, muscles, or any other regions causing discomfort. Each individual's condition is unique, so our approach is customised accordingly. We create tailored treatment plans to suit your specific needs rather than adopting a generic approach.

What We Do
Through skilled evaluation, diagnosis, and a diverse array of hands-on techniques, osteopaths adeptly identify various types of dysfunction within the body. Osteopathic treatment encompasses methods such as stretching and massage to address soft tissues, including muscles, tendons, and ligaments, alongside mobilisation of specific joints and soft tissues.

In Australia, osteopaths are registered practitioners under governmental oversight, having completed a minimum of five years of university training. Their comprehensive education encompasses anatomy, physiology, pathology, general medical diagnosis, and osteopathic techniques.

Osteopaths serve as primary healthcare practitioners, equipped to recognise conditions necessitating medical referral. They possess the expertise to conduct standard medical examinations of the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory, and nervous systems.

Osteopathy is typically covered by most private health funds. Additionally, osteopaths are registered providers for Medicare's Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plans. (Please note that we do not bulk bill).
